Fun fo rthe day...
You've gotta be kdding right
So can you believe I have to have surgery again. The hernia in my stomach area popped. It's now more visible than it was before it was repaired. So now I need to go back for surgery. That's just ducky huh... Well I'm not going to complain too much. The recovery is not all that bad. I just don't like going for the surgery itself.
Well for the rest of the update I'll go in reverse cronological order the best I can...
Yesterday in the morning we had to go to the pet shop to return one of those self cleaning littler boxes. Well we decided it was a peice of crap, and it only took 3 days to get to that point. We went from changing the cat litter once a week, with no interventions in between to having to deal with the litter box about 5 to 10 times a day. Well that's obviously not why we bought this thing for $200.00. So needless to say it went back to the store.
Then we took the puppy out to see Matthew, our god child. He's 7 now... yeesh... They lived downstairs from us in the old appartment. When we moved from the appartment they moved as well to a house in Bayshore.
Saturday was kind of shot. I had to stick around cause I was on call and then in the afternoon I had to go get Elph from the vet and bring her up to the Bronx to her new family. That was a mission in itself. But it's done and it's no longer something I have to worry about. Nothing but the bill.
You know you may wonder why I'm willing to go out of my way for these cats. The answer is actually quite simple. Nobody should be left to die like that. It's painfull to see and if I can do something about it I will. Also don't forget I see them everyday. It's not like they go running around the neighborhood all that much. The yard is their home, so when I go outside 9 times out of 10 they are there. So I feel for them, and if I can get one fixed up and find a home for it, it makes me happy.
Well enough of that mush. Let's continue going backward.
Even though only family and friends actually knows who I work for. I did'nt mention (due to the fact I work for public company) that my company has been going thru some pretty large scale computer conversions. It was finallized sunday and all the hubbub is done. I'm not too sure what it's going to mean for me yet but we shall see. For those stock holders though it's probably going to be good. It's an even evil if you ask me but who am I to say. It's funny how a company can spend so much money just because an auditor doe'snt like the way things are happening. WASTE is a company accountant nightmare but they waste the most. Go figure.
Anyway I also think I'm going to start an area to document removal of spyware apps. I don't plan on it being written all by me, cause I do not have the time to do that. Some by me, some just links, some software links, some pasted text. Depending on the situation but it will be helpfull to me and maybe a few other people. Not that anyone cares.
Also .... Just as a side note. Make sure you are running an Anti-Virus application (Ex. Norton Anti-Virus, McAffee Anti-Virus, or if you're into free GPL software Clam). Make sure your virus definitions are up to date. It's worth the few dollars a year because the havoc you can create if you were to become infected is gonna cost more to fix.
