Memory Recall.

Ouch my stomach is killing me... Too many apples...

Let's see if I can recall what's happend sine last post...
Just to make it a horrible read I'll go backwards.

Yesterday, we went apple picking with the Millers... Kevin, Cathy, Kathleen, Melissa and Jennifer. Actually we were'nt supposed to go, but I called them to let them know about the fair on the Ave. The Millers were already on thier way and they were kind enough to turn around and come back to get us. They were headed to New Paltz. Even though a long ride I can honestly say it was fun. I have'nt been apple pickin since I was real young. So if a Miller happens to read this I say thank you again.

On Friday Cathy had run out of little Jacks meds. She attempted to get them locally without success so she needed to take a ride to the Island near exit 48/49... Kevin was only getting home around the time she decided to go to the animal hospital. She requested one or all of us go with her... Sharon's stomach was not in good shape so I decided to go. Only as the chaufer... She accepted and we were on our way. The ride there was pretty smooth and simple. As we were there Cathy was talking about Krispy Kreme donuts... I had never had a Krispy Kreme before so we decided to find it. So we left ... We hit some traffic but not all that bad. We really did'nt know where Krispy Kreme even was so we were off on an unknown journey... (I kinda like those) Destination known, where it is unknown... We cam into Hicksville got ourselves some D&D. Finally we got smart and Cathy called information and got the address. It was familiar to me so we were off. We bought 4 dozen donuts... 2 for her 2 for me. we got into the car and I had my first taste of a Krispy Kreme ...

Poor Jack

Well not that I've mentioned this as of yet but...
There was a litter of kittens born in the yard mid summer to Target. 3 really cute friendly ones. They were so tiny... We were taking care of them in the yard for quite some time. We finally decided that it was time to get them a home. Rather than them disapearing on us we decided it was best to hold onto them in the basement while we tried to get them adopted. We called the little white one Buddy and the grey and white one Pepper. I took Buddy, the little white one to the vet for an eye infection, but that eventually cleared.
So while they were in the basement Cathy and Melissa would come over to play with them. They decided they wanted the little white one, Buddy. The finally got permission to bring home little Buddy after much begging. They renamed him "Jack" as in "Jack -o- Lantern"... We decided that rather than finding Pepper a home we would keep her. So we felt all was good...
When Jack was brought home to the Miller's he seemed to love it. He had all the attention (he still does). Only one thing his legs seemed to swagger as he walked. He kind of walked sideways. Nobody thought too much of it cause it was'nt really that bad.

About 2 weeks he was fine with the same swagger. Kevin had mentioned to me on the September 27th that he seemed to be sick, and that he was not wlking very well. So they kept a close eye on him. The next morning while laying on the bed with Kevin & Cathy he had a little fit jumping up and down crying. So they tried to find what was wrong. He calmed down and Cathy went to go get food for him and the other cats while Kevin watched Jack. Well when Cathy opened the can, Jack wanted food so he darted off the bed toward the food, but he fell flat on his belly. He was'nt able to use his hind legs. He dragged himself to the food.
This obviously upset Cathy to no end. I can see why. This little one is so sweet and here he is in some kind of pain. They took him straight to the vet. Not knowing what it was they did X-Rays... The Vet saw nothing out of the ordinary. So it was kind of concluded that he had a virus disability or deformity.
He was in bad shape when he came home. He only wanted to sleep. No activity what-so-ever. I was worried. It turns out that they sedate animals for X-Rays so that was probably some of the cause for it.
It's now a week later and he is getting around without using his hind legs, but he's still abnormal. They took him for a MRI on Thurday and left him until tommorow. I'm not to sure about the results as of yet but I will post them shortly....

New Car Time

So I went to the Chevy dealer last night with the intentions of purchasing or atleast making a final decision on a 2004 Impala... As usual this did not go as planned... Not only, I did'nt realize that the incentives offered expired last night. I also found that I did'nt like the interior of the Impala SS. I found myself looking at a 2003 Mone Carlo SS. Nice car... The interior is similar but for some reason it does'nt feel the same. I think it may have something to do with the size. You kind of feel like your swimming in the Impala and the Monte seems just about right. I remember back a few years when you got into a fully loaded car and it felt like you were getting into a space shuttle. These cars don't have that feel. They feel kind of empty. Especially the Impala, due to the amount of room inside. But it looks like the Monte is the car of choice. Now all I have to do is decide if a 2003 will be acceptable to me... Uggg decisions...
